About JLTR and TPLS in Scopus:

¡¡

1.

On February 11th 2014,  JLTR was accepted for inclusion in Scopus. And on March 7th 2014, TPLS was accepted for inclusion in Scopus.

¡¡

¡¡

2.

In September 2014, (because of the concerns raised about some Academy Publisher journals), Scopus imposed an embargo against Academy Publisher, discontinuing the inclusion of all Academy Publisher journals. As a result, the inclusion of JLTR and TPLS in Scopus was discontinued.

(At that time, JLTR and TPLS were published by Academy Publisher, Finland)

¡¡

¡¡

3.

In late September, the JLTR/TPLS editor contacted Scopus, asking them to re-evaluate the two journals. Upon request, Scopus agreed to evaluate the two journals again.

¡¡

¡¡

4.

From 2015, JLTR and TPLS are published by Academy Publication, UK

¡¡

¡¡

5.

On February 17th 2015, JLTR and TPLS were accepted by Scopus for a second time.

Dr Wim J.N. Meester (Head of Product Management, Scopus) sent an email to Academy Publication, which says:
¡®We will re-instate the coverage of ¡°Journal of Language Teaching and Research¡± and ¡°Theory and Practice in Language Studies¡± in Scopus.  ¡. Please note that all titles are subject to re-evaluation at any time based on their performance and that titles could be cancelled for Scopus coverage without prior notice.¡¯

6.

On March 25th 2015, Academy Publication received another email from Susanne Steiginga (Product Manager, Scopus). The email says:
¡°¡take back our earlier communication and journals published by Academy Publication will not be covered by Scopus anymore¡¡±

JLTR and TPLS editors' words:

¡¡

¡¡

JLTR and TPLS were twice accepted by Scopus and twice excluded. As a journal editor, we feel really sorry about that. We are really sorry that JLTR and TPLS were twice excluded from Scopus for reasons which are not related to journal quality.

We would like to thank Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) for their recognition of the quality of JLTR and TPLS as their comments on both journals are "The title publishes excellent content relevant to its field."

We would also like to thank all the authors who have published in JLTR and TPLS. We hope that all authors can understand it, and also hope that all the authors will continue to contribute to our journals and make our journals better and better.
